WoolTech is Indi-Safe's flame-retardant wool range: garments cut from 100% FR woolen fabric that resists ignition, self-extinguishes and shows low melt-drip behavior when hit by sparks, spatter or brief flame contact. The woolen outer is tested to ISO 6940, the standard that measures how readily a fabric ignites. Wool's natural advantage is comfort: it insulates against heat while staying breathable through a full shift, which is why it remains the working choice for fabrication shops, grinding bays, welding preparation and maintenance crews in spark-prone areas.
The range runs from jacket, coat, trouser, bib and brace to a protective balaclava worn under hoods and helmets. Where jobs wear through fabric fastest, we reinforce it: half and full leather-reinforced jackets, leather-reinforced trousers and bib and brace overlay split chrome-tanned leather on the high-exposure zones, and the AluTech-reinforced trouser adds aluminized panels for radiant heat close to furnaces.
ChromeTech is the leather side of the collection. The ChromeTech Leather Jacket is cut from chrome-tanned leather for welders and fabricators who need durable spark and spatter protection with the abrasion resistance that leather provides.
Typical buyers are steel and engineering works, mines, rail and heavy fabrication shops standardizing crew issue across welding and hot-work teams. Everything is manufactured at our Johannesburg factory, and a quality report is issued with every order.
Ordering is quote-based: request a quote on any product page or email sales@indisafe.co.za with your quantities and sizes. Bulk orders and smaller runs are both catered for, and samples are available before you commit.
